Fever Ray just returned with a new album of old songs, The Year of the Radical Romantics. From what I've read, this is essentially a live album; these songs were reworked and recorded live to tape in a studio. So the only thing missing, really, is the sound of a live audience.  I first learned of The Knife in 2006, when Silent Shout was on top of almost every end-of-year list. Happy birthday to my childhood crush, Linda Ronstadt (born on this day in 1946). Now watch her fucking destroy the Stones' Tumbling Dice. Keith Richards famously remarked, "I wrote Tumbling Dice but Linda Ronstadt owns it." See and hear for yourself.

Went to my local record store for some browsing. They had a Japanese pressing of Kate Bush's The Kick Inside which I absolutely did not need but, you know, I bought anyways. It's my third copy of the album. I have a US pressing, the one with Kate wearing the red boots, and I have a grey vinyl version, with the kite album cover. Very recommended, it's an excellent album front to back, no matter what version you have. 

Late for this month's mix, had a week off last week, but I'm here now. Been listening to a lot of metal lately and I've been growing this playlist for a while (and I'm still adding to it). It's got a ton different styles, comment if find something you like.
