This is a mix I started making in lockdown. Finally felt like it was done a couple months ago. There wasn't really any kind of theme, except I knew I wanted to start it with Mary Lou Lord's version of I Figured You Out and end it with Elliott Smith's version. I never listened to The Gits back in the early 90s when they came up. I had heard the name, I think Kurt Cobain had championed them back then, but not the music. But yeah, I hadn't listened until now. Recently, news of The Gits popped up into my feed, as their albums had just been remastered and rereleased. "Why not?" Kate Bush back in the news, as she's put out a new video for Snowflake (from 50 Words for Snow). It shows a little shrew trying to survive in a bombed city and a request to donate to War Child UK, a charity that specializes in rights of children affected by war and conflict.
